Regional growth sees Packett’s Claims Team grow

Published on October 2, 2024

Chartered Yorkshire based Insurance Broker Packetts are pleased to announce the growth of its claims team to manage the business growth and expansion.

In 2021 Packetts was acquired by the Jensten Group, now one of the largest broking groups in the UK with over 1000 professionals looking after the insurance needs of clients from many sectors. Packetts was one of the first acquisitions made by Jensten and as such have helped form the blueprint for the groups growth.

Packetts has a proud tradition as a community broker in the Yorkshire area, but has also grown a reputation for being one of the UKs most well regarded brokers for the not for profit sector, whether this be membership organisations, charities or businesses in the training sector through their Trainsure brand, at 104 years young the business continues to develop from strength to strength in utilising its family traditions with the benefits of being part of a larger broking group. Packetts continues to lead the way as our regional head office.

As part of this growth, and the acquisition and growth of other well-regarded brokers, such as Ravenhall Risk Solutions in Leeds and White Rose Insurance Solutions in North Yorkshire, the claims team has been restructured. Led by Derek Crowley who, will be familiar to Packett’s customers, he assumes the role of Regional Claims Manager and welcomes to his team William King, Callum Fisher and Jess Calton who will effectively double the size of the existing Packetts claims team to cope with the demand of growth for the region.

“We are proud of how we help clients through the claims process, this is often a very stressful and difficult time. To create a dynamic and growing regionalised claim team is a huge opportunity to take the benchmark for quality we already set and ensure that we continuously improve and raise the bar when it comes to claims. This is the most important part of the insurance cycle”

Derek was proud to add.

Packett’s Branch Director, Wayne Cowley commented:

“Continued growth is key to the future of Packetts presence in the marketplace, it shows how important the brand is to the group and how the unique service and offering that has become the Packetts way has become to its clients.”
