Packetts staff help Bradford North Food Bank for their Christmas Appeal

Packetts staff have donated 163 items (pictured) to Bradford North Food Bank for their 2019 Christmas Appeal.  This is a great effort for a very worthwhile cause.

Every day people in the UK go hungry for many reasons, the foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust’s network of 428 foodbanks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities, as well as across the UK.  Bradford North Food Bank covers all Bradford & Shipley postcodes providing emergency food to local people who are in crisis, a simple box of food makes a big difference not just at Christmas but all year round.  Christmas should be a time of celebration, a time for families to be together, eat some good food, give presents (especially to children) and relax.  This is very hard or even impossible for households in financial crisis.  Our ‘Christmas Food’ parcels will help such households celebrate Christmas.
