Marshall Sugden

Marshall became co-owner of the Packetts business in 2013 and acquired it from the Packett family a short time later. The business grew and expanded and also celebrated its 100-year centenary prior to its sale to Jensten in February 2021.

Marshall joined Packetts following a 20-plus-year career at independent insurance brokers Smart & Cook. He rose from account executive to joint MD when the firm was sold into Axa in 2008 and was MD for business development in the new entity. He was responsible for sales and acquisitions, looking after a national salesforce of over 200 account executives, and has a wealth of knowledge gained from working in a large corporate environment.

Today, Marshall’s role is mainly focused on managing and developing client relationships and helping source regional broker acquisitions for the Jensten Group.

Married with 3 grown-up children, he is a keen mountain biker and also enjoys the gym and personal training on a regular basis.
